Motorcycle Technology

Several schools offer manufacturer-specific technical training on motorcycles. These programs provide the knowledge you need to begin a career in this field, even if you do not have prior experience with motorcycles. Areas of focus in these motorcycle programs include classes on engines and transmissions, and suspensions and chassis systems. In the machine shop, you will learn basic and advanced electrical repair techniques, vehicle maintenance, engine troubleshooting and noise diagnosis, and engine performance. Most people are able to complete the program curriculum in just over one year. Often the programs are split into initial general courses and manufacturer specific training.
